1 Timothy 4:11: Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.
WHETHER we're young or old, GOD commands that we be not conformed to this world but transformed by the renewing of our minds.
We're supposed to be foreigners, living in the world but not of the world. We're supposed to be salt and light, representatives of GOD, ambassadors for CHRIST--sanctified, consecrated, "set apart"--walking in faith and love, acting in obedience, with reverence and respect.
We're supposed to forgive others, refrain from judging, love GOD first, and love others as we love ourselves. We're supposed to worship, give thanks, bless others, study the Bible, GOD's WORD, seek GOD, submit to Him, and pray without ceasing.
We're supposed to encourage, comfort, and edify, building others up in love and faith, not tearing them down in fear and hate.
We're supposed to speak life, not death; show love, not hate; use every word for GOD's glory, honor, with power and purpose, not with idleness, for gossip, slander, or as weapons of war against each other.
We're supposed to live life LOUD like Jesus, as the Body of CHRIST, serving where there's a need and showing lost souls the Way, the Truth, the Life, which is JESUS CHRIST, the Son of GOD.
And here's the truth of our times, this generation: We're living as in the days of Noah, except no Great Flood is coming--only the Son of GOD, the King of kings, JESUS CHRIST. He's coming back, and if we don't get our houses in order, our churches back under the authority of GOD, JESUS; our lives in alignment with GOD's WORD, GOD's will, GOD's plans; if we don't fully commit, go all-in, surrendering all our heart, soul, mind, and strength; if we don't walk in faith, in submission and obedience to GOD but continue letting the distractions, fads, pride, unforgiveness, temptations, idols, and pleasures of the world lead us astray, we won't be ready when JESUS returns.
GOD doesn't need more hearers of His WORD. But He can use more doers of His WORD.
He doesn't need more people reading the Bible but more people obeying, living the Bible, worshipping Him in spirit and truth.
In John 14:15, JESUS says, love for Him, GOD, is obedience, keeping His commands, because those who really love Him want to do His will; they want to please Him more than any other. It's all a matter of heart, commitment, devotion, surrender, faith. Therefore, we should make a commitment to be both hearers and doers of the WORD, living lives that are pleasing to GOD, representative of JESUS, GOD with us, because we may be the only living Bible some people ever read.
