John 15:5 (NKJV): I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
JESUS CHRIST is both our VINE and our KING, and what most of us often forget is that truly we can do nothing without Him. He is our Courage, our Strength, our SAVIOR, our DELIVERER, our HEALER, our HOPE, our HELP, our LIGHT, our WAY, our TRUTH, and our LIFE, and in Him and through Him, we live, move, act, breathe, overcome, conquer, and pray.
As we abide in JESUS and in HIS WORD, He LIVES and ACTS through us, fulfilling GOD's purpose for us--His Kingdom plan.
Our lives then are not our own, but we, who have submitted to GOD, who have surrendered to CHRIST, live unto HIM—JESUS—and our purpose goes beyond Self. But what we fail to remember is this: The King of kings lives in us; therefore, we have no need to be ashamed or defeated. We are not without power, authority, dominion, or hope through JESUS CHRIST, for wherever we are, He is—ever with us—and HIS SPIRIT comforts, empowers, and guides us in our God-given endeavors.
Without GOD then, without JESUS, we can do nothing and we would be nothing. GOD is our King, JESUS our King of kings, our Lord of lords, our True Vine, and through Him we bear much fruit; we overcome all adversity; we climb mountains high and cross valleys low; we are hard pressed on every side but not crushed, perplexed but not in despair, persecuted but not forsaken, and struck down but not destroyed; we are more than conquerors; we are the head and not the tail; we are blessed going in and coming out; we are strong, not weak; and we are powerful, not powerless.
When we live in CHRIST and He LIVES in us and WORKS through us, then we indeed are a force to contend with on earth and in heaven. We're a royal priesthood, a peculiar people, citizens of both heaven and earth, and we have an assignment, a purpose, a destiny, an inheritance, a reward, an eternity in the PRESENCE of GOD.
