Psalm 121:3-8 (NIV): He will not let your foot slip--he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD watches over you--the LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all harm--he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
GOD IS WITH US--ever present and ever vigilant. He never slumbers—never sleeps--nor does He make Himself unavailable during holidays and vacations. He is with us, watching, guiding, comforting, consoling, strengthening, protecting, providing, prompting, loving, forgiving, inspiring, gifting, anointing, calling, and drawing.
He is with us as ABBA FATHER, greater than any natural father we have ever known--loving us higher than the highest mountain--lavishly, unconditionally, and immeasurably--and inspiring us to unknown heights, to extraordinary and greater things, even beyond our own imaginations.
He is with us as SAVIOR, REDEEMER, DELIVERER, PROTECTOR, MEDIATOR, HIGH PRIEST, LORD, and KING, JESUS CHRIST, giving us new life, true faith, and future hope and letting us know that GREATER is He who is in us than he who is in the world, that we are MORE THAN CONQUERORS through Him who loved us, and that NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST US will prosper, for we are OVERCOMERS THROUGH HIM and NOTHING, neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither principalities nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor things present nor things to come, nor any created thing shall be able to separate us from the LOVE of GOD which is in CHRIST JESUS our LORD. After all, it is through Him that we now have DOMINION, POWER, and AUTHORITY, especially over our adversary and his kingdom of darkness.
GOD is ever with us as our COMFORTER, the HOLY SPIRIT, giving us power, wisdom, knowledge, understanding and revelation of GOD's WORD and GOD's SON, JESUS, and He distributes our gifts, renews our minds, transforms our lives, and instills within us the FRUIT of the SPIRIT (love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, kindness, and self-control).
GOD LOVES US, and GOD IS WITH US, ever present and ever vigilant, WATCHING and PROTECTING but also LIVING IN and THROUGH US. And as WE DRAW NEAR HIM, HE DRAWS NEAR US, calling us into His Family and His Kingdom, calling us home, and as WE ABIDE IN HIM, HE ABIDES IN US--strengthening, encouraging, and empowering us--and if GOD IS WITH US, GOD IS IN US, and GOD BE FOR US, who can be against us?
