Nahum 1:7: The LORD is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him.
GOD LOVES US, and sometimes it's hard to remember or even believe that when trouble comes and a life of hard knocks would leave us wondering whether we were more cursed than blessed. But we should never doubt GOD's love, nor should we doubt His promises or His Word, for He is not a man that He should lie nor does His Word return unto Him void.
In this life, weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning, and we may be hard-pressed on every side yet not crushed; perplexed but not in despair; persecuted but not forsaken; struck down but not destroyed, because even in darkness, JESUS is our LIGHT, our WAY, TRUTH, and LIFE. And when we feel alone in the battles of life, He is with us and the HOLY SPIRIT, our COMFORTER, dwells with us, a SEAL and our GUARANTEE that we are His--GOD's.
So, let us remember when trouble comes and seems to overwhelm us, when we're disappointed, discouraged, afraid and doubtful, and when we're prepared to give up, walk away, or give in to the adversary who comes to steal, kill, and destroy, GOD intercedes, and He fights for us bringing to our remembrance His love, His Son, His Word, His grace, His mercy, His forgiveness and His promises.
Let us remember there is always HOPE, and there is always the WAY of escape through JESUS CHRIST.
JESUS lives in us, and we abide in Him, so no weapon formed against us, including fear, shall prosper and all things, including this trouble--this adversity, these challenges--will eventually work together for our good because we love GOD and have been called according to His purpose.
GOD has a plan and a purpose for our lives, and He promised us hope and a future, so all we have to do is TRUST Him and surrender our cares to Him.
GOD is our Stronghold, our Lighthouse, and when trouble and hard knocks come, we must believe in Faith that we will overcome, we will rise again, we will be saved, and we will be victorious because TODAY is a day the LORD has made and this is not the day nor the hour, minute or second we give up on life--on JESUS--and lose hope in Him.
If we must run, let us run this race of faith as victors, not victims.
If we must conquer, let us be more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
And if we must surrender all, let us surrender all to GOD, to CHRIST.
