For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. - Hebrews 4:12

Ezekiel 37:1-14 (NKJV): The hand of the LORD came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” So I answered, “O Lord GOD, You know.”

Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the LORD.””

So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone. Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them.

“Also He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, “Thus says the Lord GOD: “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.”” So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.

Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say, ‘Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!’ Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. Then you shall know I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the LORD, have spoken it and performed it,” says the LORD.’”

GOD LOVES US, and He is not the GOD of the dead, but the GOD of the LIVING.

He’s GOD WITH US—the GOD of REDEMPTION, RESURRECTION, RESTORATION, RIGHTEOUSNESS, and REVIVAL; the GOD of PROMISE, PROTECTION, PRESERVATION, PROVISION, PURPOSE, and PEACE; the GOD of HOPE, HEALING, HOLINESS, and HELP; the GOD of COMFORT, COMPASSION, and CONSECRATION; the GOD of GOODNESS, GLORY, and GRACE; the GOD of SALT, SALVATION, and SANCTIFICATION; the GOD of LIGHT, LIBERTY, and LIFE; the GOD of VALOR and VICTORY; and the GOD of MIRACLES and MERCY.

He’s the MIGHTY, AWESOME ONE; the SOVEREIGN, COMPASSIONATE ONE; the DIVINE, HEALING ONE; the GRACIOUS, REDEEMING ONE; the MERCIFUL, FORGIVING ONE; the HOLY, RIGHTEOUS ONE; the FAITHFUL, PATIENT ONE; the JUST, GOOD ONE; and the LOVING, IMMUTABLE ONE.

Nothing is too hard for GOD, and with Him, all things are possible: redemption, salvation, forgiveness, reconciliation, resurrection, and restoration.

He knows the plans He has for us, plans to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future, and we can come to Him and pray to Him, and He will listen to us, and we can seek Him and find Him when we seek Him with all our hearts. And we can have this confidence in Him, that when we draw near to Him, He will draw near to us, and He will never leave us or forsake us.

IN CHRIST JESUS—the SON of GOD—we’re covered, so when our bones seem dry, our dreams are deferred, our spirits are depleted, and our seasons are dark, GOD IS STILL THERE, READY to REVIVE, RESURRECT, and RESTORE every dry and broken bone, every dark and dead season, every lost and misplaced thing in our lives, so that all His plans for us come to pass and so that His Word does not return unto Him void but accomplishes that for which He sent it.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of GOD and not of us, and we’re hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed but not in despair; persecuted but not forsaken; struck down but not destroyed, always carrying about in the body the dying of the LORD JESUS, that the life of JESUS also may be manifested in our body. So then, we were crucified with CHRIST. But now we live in CHRIST, through CHRIST, because of CHRIST, and eternally for CHRIST. And because of Him, the GOD of the living, not the GOD of the dead, dry seasons end, impossible dreams come true, and dry bones live.
