John 8:19: Then they asked him, "Where is your father?"
"You do not know me or my Father," Jesus replied. "If you knew me, you would know my Father also."
What does the Bible say, really?: GOD is GOOD, GOD is JUST, GOD is LOVE.
GOD is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and GOD so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
JESUS is LORD of ALL, JESUS is the SON of GOD, JESUS WAS CRUCIFIED; He DIED, WAS BURIED, then WAS RESURRECTED. He was a PREACHER, a TEACHER, a PROPHET, and a HEALER; He CAST OUT DEMONS, WELCOMED SINNERS, and SET CAPTIVES FREE.
He HUMBLED HIMSELF, EXALTED His FATHER, GOD, SERVED OTHERS, PRAYED DAILY, and INTERCEDED for OTHERS.
He WORSHIPPED IN SPIRIT and TRUTH and WAS OBEDIENT to GOD's COMMANDS.
He KNEW, QUOTED, and APPLIED GOD's WORD, and He LOVED GOD and OTHERS.
He is the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE, and NO ONE comes to the FATHER except THROUGH HIM.
Above all, JESUS abides in GOD and GOD in Him, and He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
When we let go and surrender, when we humble ourselves, SUBMIT and RECEIVE JESUS in our hearts, He lives and abides in us and His WILL becomes ours.
When we walk in FAITH, this is what we as followers BELIEVE: GOD is with us, and He lives in us. Always. No weapon formed against us shall prosper. All things work together for good to those who love GOD and are called according to His purpose, and GOD knows the plans He has for us, plans to prosper and not harm us, plans to give us hope and a future.
So, what's the message?
This is it: GOD loves us, enough to give us His only begotten Son, and JESUS loves us, enough to sacrifice His life, to forgive us, redeem us, heal us, save us, deliver us, protect us, comfort us, encourage us, strengthen us, empower us, inspire us, counsel us, guide us, uplift us, and draw us closer, GODWARD, home.
So, here's the question: Do we know about JESUS or do we really KNOW and have a personal RELATIONSHIP with JESUS? That's the heart of the matter.
