Galatians 6:9-10: And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to those who are of the household of faith.
SOMETIMES, we get tired, burned out; we grow weary, feel worn, and wonder whether anything we're doing is pleasing GOD or making a difference in the lives of others. Often, we feel empty, depleted, useless, beat-up and tapped-out, and our lives are battlegrounds, filled with opposition, challenges, adversaries, and distractions. But GOD gives us hope, strength, and light, even in our trials, even in our weaknesses, even in our darkest hours, because He is with us, and He promises to never leave us or forsake us.
GOD urges us to hold on and never give up; He commands us to be strong and of good courage, because no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and though we're hard-pressed on every side, we're not crushed; though we're perplexed, we're not in despair; and though we're struck down, we're not destroyed, because GOD's got us covered. He is our shield and our guide; He is our strength and our refuge, a very present help in time of trouble. Nothing is too hard, and nothing is impossible for Him.
When we're weary and worn, GOD gives us strength in His Son, JESUS CHRIST.
When we're empty and depleted, GOD fills us with His HOLY SPIRIT.
When we're beat-up and discouraged, GOD revives us and gives us HOPE, SPIRIT, and LIFE with HIS WORD.
He assures us that we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us and that all things work together for good to those who love Him, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
GOD urges us to persevere and overcome, to fight the good fight of faith in His strength, not our own.
So, let us not grow weary in doing good; let us not give up or give in.
Let us hold on; let us be strong and courageous; let us be faithful and true.
Let us remember, GOD is with us, and He will never leave us or forsake us.
Let us have faith and believe in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
So, as we have opportunity, let us do good, especially to those of the household of faith, for GOD is not unjust so as to overlook our work and the love we have shown for His name in serving the saints, as we still do.
