Romans 8:38-39 (NKJV): For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
One thought we all need to carry with us, especially when times are tough, when trials come, when fires rage, when tempers flare, when provisions seem lacking, when friends seem few, when family is absent, when loneliness looms, when trouble is a companion, when flaws are visible, when dreams are delayed, when relationships fail, and when pain, heartache, and betrayal sting is THIS: NOTHING can separate us from the love of God which is in CHRIST JESUS our LORD. He draws us to Himself and fishes for our souls, calling us through His Son, JESUS. Through Him, we are redeemed and saved, forgiven and reconciled--transformed into new creations and ALL things become new. And GOD is Love, and He loves us, often when we don't accept, acknowledge, or love Him.
GOD's love is like music for the soul chiming in our hearts, drawing us in, chasing and pursuing us, wherever we are, wherever we go, and NOTHING diminishes His love for each for us, for it stays with us and becomes part of us, and if we are separated from Him this minute, this hour, this day, this year, He isn't the culprit; neither is our adversary. We are, for GOD extends the invitation through JESUS, and He loves us enough to give us second chances and more opportunities than we deserve to make the right choice. And if we choose not to accept Him, open the door, or invite JESUS into our lives, it's nobody's fault but our own when we find ourselves lost, spending eternity outside the presence of GOD.
