ME: Lord, I'm at a crossroads in life, and I've made so many mistakes, taken so many detours, I don't know if I'm still headed in the right direction, if I'm where You want me to be, or if I'm doing what You called me to do. Am I on the right road, driving along the right highway, or have I gotten myself completely lost? I'm clutching the wheel, and I'm in the driver's seat, but I don't know if I'm anywhere near my destination--that place where You assigned me to be. So, I need some guidance and direction, some words of wisdom, knowledge, and encouragement.
It's been a while since I last heard You whisper in my ear, 'This is the way; walk in it,' so I need to hear from You now, before I make another move--take another detour. I know I haven't always read faithfully or used wisely the Life Map You left me; I haven't always listened to Your instructions or obeyed Your commands; and I haven't always believed in Your promises or trusted in Your plans for me. Basically, I've relied more on myself and others than I've relied on and trusted in You, and for that, I'm truly sorry, and I pray You'll forgive me, and show me the way I should go from this place in which I currently find myself. Please, tell me: What should I do?
JESUS: Draw near to Me; Follow Me; Trust Me; Obey My commands; and GO where I lead you, for I AM with you, and I will never leave you or forsake you, and I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Even though you've made your plans in the past, I've always ordered your steps so that you would arrive at the right place at the right time, especially when you've trusted in Me with all your heart, leaning not on your own understanding but acknowledging Me in all you ways and letting me make your paths straight.
Even in your unfaithfulness, I've remained faithful, because I AM the same yesterday, today, and forever, and My word does not return unto me void but accomplishes that for which I sent it. So, I've worked all things, including your mistakes and your detours, together for good because you love Me and are called according to My purpose. In your weakness, I've been Strength; in your darkest moments, I've been Hope; in your pain, I've been Comfort; in your trials, I've been Protection. In your deception, I've been Truth; in your sickness, I've been Healing; in your lack, I've been Provision. In your loss, I've been Restoration; in your guilt, I've been Forgiveness; in your obedience, I've been Reward. In your sin, I've been Salvation; in your bondage, I've been Deliverance; in your loneliness, I've been Friend. In your death, I've been Resurrection; and in your faith, I've been the Gift and the Grace of GOD.
Nothing is too hard for Me, and nothing--neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing--shall be able to separate you from the love of GOD, which is in Me, CHRIST JESUS, your LORD.
I AM your refuge and your strength, a very present help in time of trouble; I AM the Way and the Truth and the Life, and no one comes to the FATHER except through Me, and you can only come to Me because My FATHER draws you near, even as you draw near to Him.
Lean on Me and let Me take your wheel and steer you in the right direction.
Trust in Me more than you trust in others, and I will guide you and position you according to My will and purpose.
Above all, believe in Me and have faith that I AM who I say I AM, and I will do what I said I would do. If you let Me be your lifetime Compass and GPS, you will always be on the right road, driving along the right highway, heading in the right direction--GODWARD--not just GLOBALLY but ETERNALLY.
