Psalm 11:3 (NIV): When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?
OUR FOUNDATION is the LIVING ROCK: GOD. Our FOUNDATION is GOD's WORD.
Our FOUNDATION is the CORNERSTONE, the WORD MADE FLESH: JESUS CHRIST, the AUTHOR and FINISHER of our FAITH.
And this is the victory that has overcome the world: OUR FAITH.
And upon this, GOD has built HIS CHURCH and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
SO, when our foundations are being destroyed, we as believers can always DRAW NEAR GOD, SUBMIT and SURRENDER to Him, PRAYING fervently for ourselves and INTERCEDING daily for others--our families, our neighbors, our friends, our colleagues, our leaders, our nations, our world, for in GOD we HOPE and TRUST, for GOD is our refuge and our strength, a very present help in time of trouble; GOD is our ROCK of SALVATION; and GOD HEARS and ANSWERS our prayers. Always. And GOD IS WITH US; He will never leave us or forsake us, even when the foundations we build ourselves are being shaken or destroyed--for GOD IS IN US and GOD IS FOR US, so WE are hard-pressed on every side yet not crushed, perplexed but not in despair, persecuted but not forsaken, struck down but not destroyed.
GOD'sWORD: A PRAYER of FAITH
Father God, Thank You for Your unfailing love and your great compassion. Forgive me of my sins, those confessed and secret or still hidden--the rebellion, disobedience, doubt and unbelief. Wash them away in the Sea of Forgetfulness and cleanse me of all unrighteousness in the redemptive blood of Your Son, JESUS. Let me stand before You in CHRIST as perfect, holy, and righteous. Let me receive Your love and know You as You truly are: Good, Just, and Love, Everlasting and Unfailing, the same yesterday, today, and forever.
You only are the Living God, the God of Hope, the God of Comfort, the God of Grace, Mercy, and Truth. You only created me in Your image, according to Your likeness; You only see me as fearfully and wonderfully made, worthy of forgiveness, salvation, redemption, Your only begotten Son's life and sacrifice.
You only know the plans you have for me, plans to prosper me and not to harm me, plans to give me hope and a future.
You only are Good, Holy, Perfect, Powerful, and Sovereign, Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End.
You only KNOW me intimately and personally; You only search my heart and KNOW the dreams and treasures hidden there.
You only are right about me, about who You created me to be, and You only can bless me with the fruit of Your Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, kindness, and self-control), and You only can give me power and authority through the HOLY SPIRIT in the name of JESUS.
You KNOW me, better than I know myself, and You are right about my gifts, my calling, and my purpose, so help me press toward the prize, the mark of my high calling. Help me persevere against every situation, every roadblock and challenge, against every adversary, and help me overcome as more than a conqueror and stand victorious as I complete my assignment and fulfill my purpose and reach my destiny at the right time at the right place.
Work all things together for my good because I love You and am called according to Your purpose. Order my steps and direct my paths and let me not lean on my own understanding but trust in You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength.
Help me be strong and courageous and trust that You'll never leave or forsake me, that You'll be with me wherever I am, wherever I go, and neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing shall be able to separate me from your love which is in Christ Jesus.
Above all, show me Your glory, hide Your Word in me, and bless me with Your Presence, Your Spirit, Your protection, Your power, and Your favor, and let me remember that without You, I can do nothing. And to You be all glory and honor, and praise. Forever. In Jesus' name. Amen.
