Psalm 37:23-24 (NIV): The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand.
GOD carries us, especially when we cannot carry ourselves. His hand covers us; His heart loves us; His Spirit anoints us; and His breath sustains us. We are His people, called by His name; we are created in His image, according to His likeness; we are reflections of His love, His creativity, His vision.
He walks with us, even when we think we walk alone. He rides with us when we travel, protecting us on dangerous roads. He takes the wheel when we can't steer beyond sight, beyond tears, beyond pain, beyond heartache, betrayal, rejection, and disappointment. He lifts us when we fall; He hears us when we call; He sees us when we kneel or bow; He listens when we PRAY, lifting our voices in faith in JESUS' name, and He answers, reminding us that HIS SON, JESUS, is the only WAY, TRUTH, and LIFE--the only DOOR to the HEAVENLY FATHER, the only GATE to the LIVING GOD.
Often, we push Him aside until we need Him; we relegate Him to the background, rarely understanding the magnitude of His footprints in our spiritual sand. But His legacy is eternal, for His touch delivers and heals, imprinting the soul. His hand transforms, shaping worlds and changing lives, and His feet are divine, leading us along the path of righteousness.
His greatest gift is JESUS, the Risen Son, Savior, Prince, Lord, and King of Kings, and we are His reflections, leaving an impression of Him for others to see, and as long as we walk in faith, in a spirit of boldness, spreading the Gospel, beautiful are our feet, lasting are our footprints, for we are GOD's AMBASSADORS in this ministry of reconciliation; and we are CHRIST's EPISTLES--love letters and living Bibles for a new generation to read. And as we abide in GOD and HIS WORD abides in us, and we walk with feet shod in preparation of the GOSPEL of PEACE, following JESUS as others watch and follow us, our footprints in the sands of these travelers' lives will guide them to an eternal place, where they will find rest and peace, acceptance and love, everlasting life and amazing grace in the presence of HIM: GOD.
