Psalm 46:10: Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!
OFTEN, in the field of faith, in the game of life, we need to surrender control and bench ourselves, believing in JESUS, trusting in GOD, for He knows the plans He has for us, plans to prosper us, not harm us, plans to give us hope and a future.
Usually, when we’re in the storm, the flood, the darkness, the trial, the battle, the fire, we can’t always see the light of victory, the road of salvation, the ray of hope, the dawn of a better day.
Often, we work; we labor; we toil; we struggle; we stumble; we fall; and we fail, trying to fix every problem, fight every adversary, make sense of every senseless act, and do everything in our own strength, in our own power, in our own knowledge, in our own way. But even JESUS, the SON of GOD, says, without Him, GOD, we can do nothing.
And this is our hope, our faith, and our salvation, that the LORD will fight for us, and we only need be still and move at His command, for GOD so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. So, for us, salvation is free, and we’re not alone or defenseless; we have an Advocate, because JESUS CHRIST, our LORD, our SAVIOR, fought our fight, paid our price, redeemed us and reconciled us to FATHER GOD. But the grace of GOD commands our faith in JESUS and love for GOD commands obedience and everything we have, so we’re ALL-IN and SOULED-OUT, giving GOD all our heart, soul, mind, and strength.
So, maybe GOD wants us to stop plotting and planning, hustling and striving, rushing into battle, danger, conflict, relationships, situations, storms, and trials, without His counsel, guidance, wisdom, instructions, approval, or advice.
Maybe He wants us to be quiet, bench ourselves, and let Him coach us to victory.
Maybe He wants us to release our grip on the wheel of life and let Him drive us to our destination—eternity in His Presence.
Maybe He wants us to STOP, BE STILL, and KNOW that He is GOD, the KING of kings and LORD of all, and with Him, nothing is too hard and all things are possible.
So, maybe we need to take a breath, find a quiet place, kneel, pray, and wait for GOD’s VOICE, GOD’s WORD, surrendering our will, our dreams, and our plans for GOD’s.
He commands us to be strong and of good courage, to not be afraid, to not be discouraged, for He, the LORD our GOD, will be with us wherever we go. So, maybe this is WISDOM, STRENGTH and COURAGE in the KINGDOM of GOD: Knowing when to RISE and STAND UP and when to KNEEL and SIT DOWN.
