2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV): But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
GOD blesses us with amazing grace, unmerited favor, even though we don't deserve it. God loves us, even when we hold grudges, judging, condemning, and failing to forgive others in spite of His commands that we love and forgive others, even as He loves and forgives us. God loves us, even when we deny, reject, avoid, grieve, disappoint, discount, disregard, disbelieve, blaspheme, mock, slander, and ignore Him. He provides for us, supplying all our need according to His riches in glory, even when we're ungrateful hoarders, complaining about the "wants" we lack and refusing to share what we have with others. God grants us a new heart, a renewed mind, fresh breath, and new Life, even when we yield to sin and seek darkness and death, warring with others, even among and within ourselves. God offers us a choice, free will--everlasting life with Him and eternity with Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and the Life or eternal torment with the adversary and eternity without God’s presence--even though we're selfish and self-destructive, more proud than humble, more self-reliant than dependent, more wrong than right, more lost than found. But in spite of our faults, our falls, bad choices, missteps, detours, and wayward words, God is patient and faithful; He loves us with an everlasting love, and He loves us enough to offer salvation, redemption, forgiveness, reconciliation, and mercy through Jesus Christ--the Lord, Savior, Redeemer, Healer, Deliverer, Counselor, King, Advocate, Defender, Protector, Truth, Life, Way, Door, Gate, Good Shepherd, Vine, Living Water, Lamb, Prince of Peace, Bread of Life, Bright and Morning Star, Lily of the Valley, the Author and Finisher of our Faith. That's amazing grace, God's rendition.
