1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (NIV): Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
GOD is Love, and He loves you—higher than any mountain, more profoundly than anyone you’ve ever known, including your parents, soul mates, siblings or friends. Before you were born or even entered your mother’s womb, He imagined you, created you (one of a kind) in His mind, and before you even knew Him, He KNEW you—who you would be, what you would do, and like the best Father, He made plans for your future, to prosper you and give you hope. He wanted to spend eternity with you and have a personal, intimate relationship with you, so He gave you the best gifts he had—salvation, grace, mercy, forgiveness, redemption, reconciliation, and LOVE—all courtesy of His only begotten Son, JESUS—the WORD, the TRUTH, the LIFE, the WAY.
His love perseveres and comes with promises—to never leave you or forsake you, to supply all your needs, to bless your coming and going, to strengthen you when you’re weak and weary, to comfort you when you mourn, to carry all of those cares that you cast upon Him, to sustain you in good and bad, to work all things for good to you because you love Him and are called according to His purpose. His love comes with assurances—that no weapon forged against you will prosper, that you are an overcomer, that you are more than a conqueror, and that greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. His love comes through faith, TRUSTING in His Son Jesus and believing IN Him, even in absence of sight, and KNOWING in your heart that with Him all things are possible—deliverance, forgiveness, righteousness, healing, prosperity, joy, and peace.
His love is whispered in that still, small voice within your spirit; His love is in the COMFORTER, the Holy Spirit; and His love is in you because when you invited Jesus into your heart and into your life, He became a resident in a new, living temple—YOU.
God loves you in spite of your flaws, regardless of your appearance and your church affiliation, and His love is unconditional, for while you were still a sinner, His sinless son, Jesus Christ, died just for you.
God loves you, in all that you are, and through all that you endure, and He created you for a reason—a purpose—to LOVE—foremost, Him and second, others.
His love isn’t revealed in an expensive greeting card, but it is expressed in the written WORD, His own love letter—the Holy Bible.
His love is all-encompassing and eternal, and it never disappoints, fades, or fails. All we have to do is recognize and accept it as the gift it truly is and remember to read this soul-winning love letter, GOD’s WORD, and spend some quality and intimate time with the One who loves us most—Our Heavenly Father—GOD.
